School Menus
Feeding our students high quality meals that are nutritious and delicious is our top priority. Chartwells' menus are built to support the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and use standardized recipes which have been nutritionally analyzed by our registered dietitians. While the goals for healthy meals is to encourage leaner meats, more fruits, and vegetables, and whole grains, we also understand the importance of "balance" and "moderation".
School menus are developed to adhere to an established meal pattern, mandated by the United States Department of Agriculture. A lunch meal must consist of at least “5 components” and the breakfast meal must consist of at least “4 components." the importance of "balance" and "moderation."
