Caring Hands

Chartwells Dining Services is sponsoring "
Caring Hands
"  to assist families who are experiencing some short term difficulty paying for school lunches for their children. A hot lunch (no ala carte) will be provided to the student three times before a cheese sandwich is served.

We welcome and encourage any participation throughout the community to offer financial assistance to those in need.  All monies donated will be deposited in the "
Caring Hands
" fund at the school(s) designated by the donor.

You may click on the link for
"Caring Hands" where you will find a donation form.

Nourishing our students is more than our business. Whether you call it a mission, a philosophy, or a passion, it's hard to sum up in a word.  So we used three....

Eat Learn Live

Chartwells School Dining Services has some exciting plans for the  2011-2012 school year at Farmington Area Schools.  Our mission is to serve nutritious, well-balanced meals that appeal to students and the school community.

Look for these  options available again this year:

We are offering fresh vegetables and fruits daily.  Elementary students will have one hot entree, as well as a salad and sandwich offering each day. Both Middle Schools and the High School will have several entree choices each day.

New for 2011-2012! Water will be available, at no charge, in all schools each day during breakfast and lunch. Cups will be provided for students to help themselves.

Breakfast is once again offered at all schools each morning!!

Chartwells recognizes that breakfast is especially important for children; it's the most important meal of the day and integral to improving academic performance.

The Elementary Schools offer one hot breakfast entree daily or a cereal entree.

Boeckman and Dodge Middle Schools and Farmington High School will offer at least one hot breakfast entree daily, as well as a bagel bar and cereal bar.

!

"Taste of the Season" is our fruit and  vegetable promotion of the month.  Each month the selected fruit and vegetable will be served at least one time.  Our focus each month is to offer a fruit and vegetable that the students may not have available to them.  Watch the menu for the date each are offered.

We look forward to seamlessly integrating our innovative programs into Farmington Schools where students will discover and enjoy meals that are well balanced and nutritious
.
